CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 14, 2006) – Ranger Boats and Yamaha have teamed up with The NASCAR Foundation and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver of the #12 Alltel Dodge Ryan Newman to host a raffle with proceeds benefiting The Ryan Newman Foundation and The NASCAR Foundation.

The winner of the raffle will receive a limited edition Z21 NASCAR Edition Ranger Boat with a Yamaha motor and a NASCAR package, which will include two tickets and a VIP garage tour at the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway on October 22, the Subway 500 (NBC, 12:30 p.m. ET). In addition to the boat and tickets, a fishing trip with Newman will also be included as part of the Martinsville weekend experience (schedule permitting). Additionally, the winner will receive a complimentary team in The Ryan Newman Foundation’s charity fishing tournament on Lake Norman, N.C. in December.

Tickets are on sale online at www.ryannewmanfoundation.org   for $25 per ticket or $100 for 5 tickets until August 28, 2006. This weekend, tickets will also be on sale at the NASCAR Foundation/Ryan Newman Foundation booth at the Michigan International Speedway in the North East side of the Fan Plaza. The Ryan Newman Foundation and the NASCAR Foundation will be selling Ranger Boat Raffle tickets at the booth on Friday, August 18 from 1 to 5 p.m.; on Saturday, August 19 from 8 a.m. until Noon and from 1:45 to 5 p.m.; and on Sunday, August 20 from 8 a.m. until Noon.

To thank NASCAR fans who have supported the Ryan Newman Foundation and NASCAR Foundation by purchasing a raffle ticket, Ryan Newman will hold a special autograph session at the NASCAR Foundation/Ryan Newman Foundation booth in the Fan Plaza from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 19th for those who present a Ranger Boat Raffle Ticket receipt.

“Being a fisherman, I've had a relationship with Ranger Boats for years so I think it's great to have the opportunity to partner with them and The NASCAR Foundation for this fundraiser,” said Newman, driver of the No. 12 Alltel Dodge. “Some lucky winner is going to be very happy with this special edition Z21 NASCAR Ranger boat and Yamaha motor. The raffle will run thru August 28, with the winner being announced on The Ryan Newman Foundation and The NASCAR Foundation websites on September 8.
