NASCAR’s pet loving fans will have an opportunity to join their favorite drivers in the upcoming book Pit Road Pets: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets, the Second Lap.  The Pit Road Pets crew will be photographing fans with their pets during the upcoming Michigan race weekend.     

Following the success of the Ryan Newman Foundation’s first charity book, Pit Road Pets: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets, the foundation will be producing a second edition that will not only feature NASCAR’s biggest stars with their furry family members, but also NASCAR’s biggest fans with their own pets.  One hundred percent of the net proceeds will be donated to pet spay/neuter programs nationwide.     

Photographer Karen Will Rogers will be taking pictures of NASCAR fans with their pets at the Pit Road Pets tent the Juniper Hills Campground next to Michigan International Speedway from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, June 13 and from 9 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, June 14.  Fans are encouraged to stop by the booth with their pets to have their family photos taken.      

The first edition of the Pit Road Pets book will be on sale at the Pit Road Pets booth from 11 AM to 3 PM on Friday, June 12 for a special discounted price of $18, which is a savings of $7.  Everyone who purchases a book at the tent will receive a complimentary Pit Road Pets tee-shirt. Books can also be purchased at Newman’s trackside merchandise trailer or ordered online at www.ryannewman.org.   

Newman will sign copies of the original charity book Pit Road Pets™: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets, sponsored by Meaty Bone, during the upcoming Michigan race weekend.  The book signing will take place Saturday, June 13 at 2:30 PM at Newman’s souvenir rig in the Fan Plaza of Michigan International Speedway.

Since this is a Pit Road Pets book signing, fans must have or purchase a book and get a ticket to get in line.  Only 100 tickets will be given out at Newman’s souvenir rig starting Saturday morning when the rig opens.  Ryan Newman Fan Club members will not need a ticket, but they will need to present their membership card and a Pit Road Pets book.  Newman will sign copies of Pit Road Pets books in addition to two other items per person during the autograph session.
