About the Foundation

The Ryan Newman Foundation was established in January 2005 by Ryan and Krissie Newman to provide philanthropic efforts that would enrich the lives of people and animals throughout the nation. The foundation has identified three primary areas of focus:

  • To help humane organizations establish and maintain programs that will reduce the overpopulation and euthanization of abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats, increase the adoption of homeless pets, provide humane education to youth and adults, and prevent cruelty to animals while encouraging collaboration between humane societies, animal rescue groups and animal control agencies.  —Companion Animals & Animal Welfare
  • To help nonprofit organizations in the preservation and conservation of wildlife and their environment, including but not limited to fish, game animals and other animals of the woodlands of the United States. —Conservation & Preservation of Wildlife
  • To provide scholarships for students pursuing a degree at a university or college while continuing their involvement in quarter midget, midget and Silver Crown auto racing. —Auto Racing Scholarships

Requests for Grant Funding or Scholarships

The Ryan Newman Foundation was formed in January 2005. Because the foundation is in the early stages of development, a grant cycle has not yet been scheduled. The major goal of the foundation in its first year will be to raise funds for an endowment from which annual interest will be used to fund nonprofit agencies through a grant process and students through a scholarship process. Ryan and Krissie Newman have started the endowment with a generous donation of $200,000.
