Foundation

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Ryan Newman and his wife, Krissie, established the Ryan Newman Foundation in January 2005.

The mission of the foundation is to educate and encourage people to spay/neuter their pets and to adopt dogs and cats from animal shelters; to educate children and adults about the importance of conservation so the beauty of the great outdoors can be appreciated by future generations; and to provide college scholarship funding through the Rich Vogler Scholarship program to students interested in auto racing careers.

The Ryan Newman Foundation strives to provide philanthropic efforts that will enrich the lives of people and animals throughout the nation. The foundation's three primary areas of focus are:

In February 2006, the Ryan Newman Foundation published the charity book Pit Road Pets™: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets, which is a collection of first-person stories and intimate photographs of NASCAR celebrities and their pets. More than 40 faces familiar to NASCAR fans are featured in the book, including Ryan and Krissie Newman, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Bobby Allison, Junior Johnson and many more! The Ryan Newman Foundation has donated 100% of its net proceeds to humane efforts.

The Ryan Newman Foundation is proud to be part of the NASCAR Foundation's family of charities.

The foundation does not accept unsolicited grant requests. To inquire about in-kind donations, please visit our FAQ page.
