The Ryan Newman Foundation

Ryan and Krissie Newman invite NASCAR fans and fishermen to join them for the Ryan Newman Foundation 8th Annual Charity Dinner and Auction and 7th Annual Charity Fishing Tournament.

The two-day event will kick off on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Statesville Civic Center in Statesville, NC from 6 to 10 pm and is sponsored by the Gene Haas Foundation. Spend the evening with NASCAR celebrities and drivers including: Martin Truex, Jr., Regan Smith, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart. Guests will enjoy a wonderful home style dinner, a silent auction and entertainment provided by some of Nashville best song writers.

The bass tournament will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Blythe Landing on Lake Norman in Huntersville, NC and is sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. The weigh-in will once again be facilitated by BASS with special guest emceed by 4-time Bassmaster Champion Kevin VanDam and Outdoor Channel host Mark Zona.

Fishermen will compete for the grand prize of a 2012 Nitro Z9 boat equipped with a motor and electronics. Other prizes include cash awards, trolling motors, GPS systems, depth finders, rod and reel combos, digital cameras, gift cards and more totaling over $60,000 and will pay the top 12 spots. A team not in the top-12 will have the chance to be randomly chosen to win a prize pack including items listed above. Three additional $500 prizes will be paid for top husband and wife, senior citizen, and adult and child teams.

The Foundation will also host a dinner during the weigh-in from 3 to 6 pm. Fans, family and friends are welcome to come out and meet Ryan and Krissie with the purchase of a $10 ticket.

The vendor area will grow for 2012 with more giveaways and displays. Kids will have fun playing games and playing in our kid’s area. The vendor area is free to the public.

Registration in the bass tournament for a team of two fishermen is $200.00. Two tournament dinner tickets are included in the registration fee. Fisherman may also enter a Big Fish Contest for $50 per team. The maximum number of boats allowed is 350. Details for the two-day event will be posted at a later date.
